tomorrow...pliss don't come. ~sigh!

Selamat Hari Merdeka to all!
Mesti ramai yang tunggu fireworks kat tanah lapang till da clock strike 12am semalam kan?
Semangat merdeka...Yeaaarrggghhhh!!! he he he
My family pulak tak pernah ke wherever dataran pun to celebrate National Day ke, New Year ke or something akin to dat.
We all sambut kat depan TV aje, or...on our bed. T__T
I sejak kecik Tak dibiasakan with all these 'good rally'.
So, sampai anak dara pun I tak teringin nak join da crowd.
Bila dah kawen dapat pulak partner yang sepeel.
Looks like it's gonna be a longstanding tradition lah gamaknya.
Alasan...WE HATE DA TRAFFIC! Hu hu hu

Yesterday akhirnya my in laws sampai jugak ke rumah.
They all ni memang kemain susah nak berjalan since my MIL has to look after her elder sister yang tinggal sorang.
Pergerakan amat terbatas bergantung kepada kesihatan MakLong.
Tapi semalam MakLong tak ikut sekali coz she need to entertain anak cucu dia yang balik mengunjung.
They all kata nak datang pukul 4pm, tapi pukul 3.30pm dah tercegat depan umah.
Punyalah kelam kabut I dibuatnya, nak celur mee pun tak sempat.
My FIL is a very punctual man since he used to work in da NAVY before.
So memang salah I lah coz Husbeast dah urge me earlier to prepare things asap. ~nanges!


dah lambat masak khenn so memang tak dapatlah I nak snap proper serving meals. but I'm happy lah jugak coz at least dapat makan hidangan yang betul2 panas berasap! ha ha ha

lepas celur mee I terus suruh Husbeast ajak they all makan. I don't wanna make da guest wait too long. I hidang lah jugak kek pisang for them. tapi bukan I yang buat, kedai mari. kununnya nak buat choux pastry (cream puff) pun tak sempat. I cuma dapat siapkan custard fill aje. ~pengsan!

I made mee hailam for them. sedap ke tak I pun tak sure, tapi kalau I yang rasa...sedap aje (mata keatas!). Untuk family in law I serve la guna proper dishes and cutleries set. kalau tak, fail la jadi menantu. kih kih kih.

Sebab semalam sempat buat custard fill aje, kalau tak buat pastry to compliment da custard...membaziaq!
So choux pastry for our evening tea time today.
I did dis pastry before in a bitesize masa colleague Husbeast datang beraya hari tu.
But dat one, couldn't be recognized as PERFECT!
kaler gelap sikit, texture pun tak nampak menarik.
I'm very lucky da guests could gulp dat in without any problem.
Masa tu I guna resepi kak Azlita since my Aunt punya versi mat saleh, much more complex than a malay version.
However, today I made it using my Aunt's recipe in her old book.

Dis time I'm very pleased with da result. they puff up to perfection. browning it without charred. tapi, like I said...leceh! ~pitam.

kalau nak buat banyak2, I think I might go with da malay version. cuma nak kena jaga everything about da batter consistency, da heat, da time, and da technique. tapi semua tu I lah yang nak kena jaga. kalau otai2 baking apa ada hal? pejam mata aje settle semua. hak hak hak

Lepas ni I nak terus naik katil and tido.
Coz tomorrow I dah start keje. ~arrrggghhh!!!
Honestly, I don't like it a bit.
Tapi apakan daya, cubaan menyambung cuti ditolak bos tercinta.
Have to gather up every strength to face my uncertain tomorrow. 
And now, I need to be relax and calm. ~tariknapasdalam2!
I CAN DO IT! ZZzzzzzz........

Assalamualaikum awak.. samalah kita. kita pun tak diajar utk keluar pada merdeka and new year eve. heeeeeee. sodapnya puff tu. filling dia apa ek? menyelerakan tekak ohhhh :)
